Every day I see drivers endanger others by texting while driving. It’s become a big annoyance of mine. That’s why reading this article made me happy. In New York, they are producing barely-marked police cars to make it easier for cops to catch drivers who are using their cell phones. I don’t know why some states still do not have laws banning cell phone use while driving. Drivers know that using cell phones greatly inhibits their driving ability, but they continue to do it. In two steps, the government could minimize the problem. The first step is to have more cops driving in disguised police cars. The other step is to fine drivers a ridiculously high amount of money so they can’t afford to be caught using their cell phone while driving. It is a simple solution, and I guarantee that it would get rid of the problem.
